EcoVadis comes from France, Its predecessor was a system platform built by TFS-CI (' Working Together for Sustainable Development '-- Globalization Alliance), UN Global Compact (UN Global Compact), IPE Center for Public and Environmental Studies and other NGO, which was specially applied to the downstream international supply chain management organizations. It combines all organizational governance items except the quality of enterprise operation, and makes comprehensive evaluation by means of online submission of data according to different sizes and industry affiliations of enterprises. The evaluation system mainly focuses on five aspects: the overall organizational situation of the company, environment, labor human rights, business integrity and sustainable procurement.

            EcoVadis aims to improve the performance of companies' environmental and social practices by leveraging the impact of global supply chains.
